Our little church is located in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains in the South Eastern corner of Kentucky. We are a part of the Diocese of Lexington and a Mission to Saint Julian Church in Middlesboro. Our History ...
The Pineville Iron, Coal and Coke Company deeded a lot to Bishop Camillus Mayes in 1889. Saint Anthony was immediately built and Mass was offered July 14, 1889 by Father Paul Volk. The church was cared for by Jellico, Corbin, Barbourville and Middlesboro during early years. The resident pioneer ...
